10° Tuning World Bodensee

Tuning World Bodensee

Europe’s tuning elite gear up for tenth anniversary

The tenth Tuning World Bodensee is in pole position, with 250 exhibitors, over 1000 vehicles and a wide-ranging supporting program – New highlight this year: the European Tuning Showdown

For ten years, the Messe Friedrichshafen exhibition grounds have been a hot spot for the European tuning community. From April 28 through May 1, 2012, Tuning World Bodensee will once again attract leading automotive customizers, the accessories market, international car manufacturers, media representatives and tuning enthusiasts from around the world. Roughly 250 exhibitors, private car owners and tuning clubs will be on hand to celebrate the new arrivals in 2012, along with over 1000 lovingly tuned vehicles.

“Ten years ago, no one would have thought that we would one day become Europe’s leading exhibition dedicated to car tuning,” says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann in advance of the show’s tenth anniversary edition. “What was once a relatively obscure topic now appeals to a wide range of people. Tuning World Bodensee attracts trendsetters from around the world in this innovative industry.”

The exhibition doesn’t just serve as a platform for the accessories and customization industry: the automobile industry and its OEMs will also be on hand in Friedrichshafen to meet trade visitors and consumers. The show attracts an international audience from the area around Lake Constance, including Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Italy, making it an important event for the industry. “Numerous exhibitors who have been close partners of the exhibition from the very beginning will once again present their new products here in 2012,” says Project Manager Dirk Kreidenweiss. “We’ve been able to attract an interesting cross section of exhibitors from throughout the industry, including many premium brands.” Tuning World Bodensee will span a total of 95,000 square meters of exhibition space.

And the famed supporting program, which includes a mix of entertainment and driving excitement, will once again delight attendees. Along with the Miss Tuning 2012 competition, the first European Tuning Showdown on Lake Constance will be an additional highlight. Owners of the top tuned private cars in Europe will come to Friedrichshafen to compete in exciting head-to-head matches in the Showdown Arena (Hall A7). Attendees will be able to watch as the winning show cars are selected to move on to the next round of the competition. The top ten vehicles in this event will be awarded exclusive trophies and some of the highest cash prizes in the European tuning scene. The owner of the top winning vehicle will be awarded a trip to the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
